A big lesson

It was 3 days before my 20th Birthday. I was up on steep hill at a friends house. We were drinking all night. I got there at 8 o clock and didnt leave till 3 or 4 in the morning. My bestfriend at the time the one that drove me there had a cerfew at 11,I told him id get a ride home so he left.I probally played 6 games of beer pong and had shots here and there the whole night. There was one point in the night were i was talking to my friend and i was just spinning i was so drunk. So then everyone decided to go to dennys because everyone was hungry and i was like i just wanna go home. So i first had a ride with my friend Justin then my friend Jeff asked me to drive. He was stoned and drunk ond probally on lots of other hard drugs. So i took an hour cooled off and we started our journey down the hill home. I got down the hill fine i was really pretty good but got to remember it was 3 in the morning and i was tired and had a lil buzz. So i get to Espola rd this is in Poway, CA. And i head toward Twin Peaks rd take a residental short cut because i noticed a cop has someone pulled over so at this point already scared and nervous. I almost got out and started walking but didnt bec today id be in a different situation. So i pull out on Twin peaks rd everythings fine going the speed limit and everything good. I go past my old middle school Twin Peaks middle school. Then the cop noticed me being nervous tired and a lil buzzed all at once and i got the biggest trip ever. His lights turned on and that second my life was over as i knew it. I had never gotten in much trouble as a kid tickets here and there but nothing too crazy. He gets me out of the car and says hes gonna test me right off the bat because he thinks i was drinking. When he first askes me i denied it. he plays his nice cop role and tells me ill be in serious trouble for lying so i tell him i did have 2 beers to drink. He did the whole test and breathalized me at .06. He does it again at .05. He then put cuffs on for the first time in my life a very scary experience. Brings me down town and i spend 10 hours in the San Diego county jail. The cop told me in the middle of all this that he has a son my age and this is serious. Now to all you that have had Dui’s or just looking at the stories and going wow. I will say first off Alcohol and driving dont mix so never do it. I knew better i came from a good family and i rebeled and god taught me a lesson. This is not something light. I am now 21 alomost 22 this is only 2 years through and this will stay on my record until I can get lucky and possible get this expunged. I am now trying to get into being a technician as a hvac. With this DUI on my record and this economy the hardest thing ever. SO to all you dont drink in drive you will get caught fined and delt with. I hope this is a lesson to all of you as it was to me. That’s my story.

Bad choice

I was leaving the stampede and trying to get home to my boyfriend and daughter after girls night out *which does not happen often with a four year old* I got pulled over refused the tests and now I feel like a failure and embarassment. The cop was decent and took me to detox instead of jail but now I do not know what to do. I am the sole provder for my daughter and I will lose my job as an office manager if I cannot continue to get to work and work the hours of operation. I feel awful and want to cry sooo bad.

My Brothers

On thanksgiving day I got home at 11 and walked across the street from my apartment to my parents house where my mom and all us kids were going to play WII and stay up all night so we can go shopping in the morning. When i walked through here door we heard a really loud crash that shook the house. My mom and I ran outside and we saw a truck on fire and another car by the side of the road. It was than my mom looked at the ground and saw the bumper and started screaming. The truck was my brothers truck. My brothers both ended up dying..Tommy was 22 and Jeremy was 20. My mom my sister Sharon and I witnessed the entire thing and there was not anything we could do. The fire was to strong to go anywhere near the truck…The reason they died was because the driver of the other car was 3 times over the legal limit and was going 100 mph. He hit Tommys truck square in the gas tank. Tommy died from internal injuries and Jeremy from the fire. Jeremy wasnt my real brother, he was Tommys best friend and one of mine too he was living with us and was over every day since he was 14. But Tommy and I were really close, he was the male version of me and he lived with me in my apartment for a year. I was less than 10 minutes in front of them getting home. Its the worst thing in the world to see your little brothers in a car dying..and not being able to save them..worst feeling ever…

1st Offense

Had a night out with a friend and got pulled over after dropping him off at home. I blew a .23 and got arraigned today with a not guilty plea to be continued on 3/8/10. Do I need a lawyer or can I represent myself? The lawyers all want 2-3000 dollars. Massachusetts.

“Bright Lighting” a state trooper

I had worked a 13 hour day and went to Chiefs bar to finishing watching the Duke game. I had 4 beers and decided it was time to go home cause I had a exam at 8 the next morning. I made a left hand turn out of the parking lot and within 50 yards a state trooper passed me and immediately turned around and arrested me? When I asked him why he had pulled me over he said because I “Bright Lighted” him. When in actuality he saw me pull out of the bar and it was a well lit road with lights everywhere. I just don’t think this is justified. I see it as entrapment. Has anyone else been pulled over for “Bright Lighting”? Contact me ordimarine@yahoo.com.

Dancing

I was about ten when my dad died. He was a drinker and he drank any time he could. One night he went to a bar with some friends. He never came back to me or mom that night. An officer said he died in an accident, he died but everyone else just got injured. I went to the hospital with my mother to talk with the suvivers. They said my dad was dacing in the car uncontrollably when he ran into a house. I dropped to my knees and cried. If you have children stop drinking so they can have thier parents with them.

Got away with drunk driving

The only time I ever drove drunk was the following: While I was at work the power went out so we all got to leave early. Me and this other guy their were talking about how awesome it was that we got out 4 hours early. He was going to a party so I went with him. Well after a couple of hours he left and I stayed. I realized that i didn’t know anyone there and no one was still there who had seen me come in with him. This meant that everyone thought I just showed up at there party which wasn’t cool with them. Because of this I decided that I had to leave so I went to the bathroom and forced myself to puke and then I drove home even though i knew that i still shouldn’t. Luckily I did make it home without any problems but I will never drive drunk again

DWI in Texas

I left a friends house one night in Lubbock, Tx after having several beers. I was pulled over for driving too close to the curb on a one-way street. I got arrested for DWI and was really pissed off at first. But after taking the classes and paying over $7000 in fines/lawyer fees/probation/etc, I’m actually very grateful that all that happened to me was a DWI conviction. I could have injured or killed someone. I learned a lot from my arrest and stress to all my friends that just planning ahead by calling a cab or a sober friend is crucial. It could mean saving your life, saving someone elses life, or even saving $7000. Please don’t drink and drive…alcohol can make good people do evil things.
