My Brothers

On thanksgiving day I got home at 11 and walked across the street from my apartment to my parents house where my mom and all us kids were going to play WII and stay up all night so we can go shopping in the morning. When i walked through here door we heard a really loud crash that shook the house. My mom and I ran outside and we saw a truck on fire and another car by the side of the road. It was than my mom looked at the ground and saw the bumper and started screaming. The truck was my brothers truck. My brothers both ended up dying..Tommy was 22 and Jeremy was 20. My mom my sister Sharon and I witnessed the entire thing and there was not anything we could do. The fire was to strong to go anywhere near the truck…The reason they died was because the driver of the other car was 3 times over the legal limit and was going 100 mph. He hit Tommys truck square in the gas tank. Tommy died from internal injuries and Jeremy from the fire. Jeremy wasnt my real brother, he was Tommys best friend and one of mine too he was living with us and was over every day since he was 14. But Tommy and I were really close, he was the male version of me and he lived with me in my apartment for a year. I was less than 10 minutes in front of them getting home. Its the worst thing in the world to see your little brothers in a car dying..and not being able to save them..worst feeling ever…

1st Offense

Had a night out with a friend and got pulled over after dropping him off at home. I blew a .23 and got arraigned today with a not guilty plea to be continued on 3/8/10. Do I need a lawyer or can I represent myself? The lawyers all want 2-3000 dollars. Massachusetts.

“Bright Lighting” a state trooper

I had worked a 13 hour day and went to Chiefs bar to finishing watching the Duke game. I had 4 beers and decided it was time to go home cause I had a exam at 8 the next morning. I made a left hand turn out of the parking lot and within 50 yards a state trooper passed me and immediately turned around and arrested me? When I asked him why he had pulled me over he said because I “Bright Lighted” him. When in actuality he saw me pull out of the bar and it was a well lit road with lights everywhere. I just don’t think this is justified. I see it as entrapment. Has anyone else been pulled over for “Bright Lighting”? Contact me ordimarine@yahoo.com.

Dancing

I was about ten when my dad died. He was a drinker and he drank any time he could. One night he went to a bar with some friends. He never came back to me or mom that night. An officer said he died in an accident, he died but everyone else just got injured. I went to the hospital with my mother to talk with the suvivers. They said my dad was dacing in the car uncontrollably when he ran into a house. I dropped to my knees and cried. If you have children stop drinking so they can have thier parents with them.

Got away with drunk driving

The only time I ever drove drunk was the following: While I was at work the power went out so we all got to leave early. Me and this other guy their were talking about how awesome it was that we got out 4 hours early. He was going to a party so I went with him. Well after a couple of hours he left and I stayed. I realized that i didn’t know anyone there and no one was still there who had seen me come in with him. This meant that everyone thought I just showed up at there party which wasn’t cool with them. Because of this I decided that I had to leave so I went to the bathroom and forced myself to puke and then I drove home even though i knew that i still shouldn’t. Luckily I did make it home without any problems but I will never drive drunk again

DWI in Texas

I left a friends house one night in Lubbock, Tx after having several beers. I was pulled over for driving too close to the curb on a one-way street. I got arrested for DWI and was really pissed off at first. But after taking the classes and paying over $7000 in fines/lawyer fees/probation/etc, I’m actually very grateful that all that happened to me was a DWI conviction. I could have injured or killed someone. I learned a lot from my arrest and stress to all my friends that just planning ahead by calling a cab or a sober friend is crucial. It could mean saving your life, saving someone elses life, or even saving $7000. Please don’t drink and drive…alcohol can make good people do evil things.

Hit by a drunk driver…

This story happened to a friend of mine just a few nights ago. She was with her friends, going to see the movie new moon. She doesn’t remember anything other than stepping into the crosswalk, and slamming down onto the pavement. She suffers a broken knee, possible break to the other leg, which requires surgery. Some cracked bones in lower back and her pelvis, a fractured femur, liver/kidney injuries, and several lacerations to her head which need plastic surgery.

The 16 year old female driver, was arrested on scene and charged with driving under the influence causing bodily harm then later released.

DUI in WA

I went to a friend’s place for a party and had one too many drinks, also forgot to have water before leaving for home. Got pulled over in a booze bust and breathed 0.12 blood alcohol content or something. I was drinking and driving, and they arrested me for a DUI. They put me in the bus and after 20 mins or so I was down to 0.09, which means I will lose my license for 3 months. Still waiting for the paperwork to arrive in the mail though. I am ashamed of what happened and it was my first offense (other than speeding fines etc.). I just got a new car too so I will be sad not to be able to drive it for 3 months.
